Russell was adopted by Melissa on 15 September 2018 after spending a year at the shelter.
While at the shelter he graduated from the Prison Program.
Prior to his time at the shelter he lived in a very abusive home. We don’t know exactly what he endured but we know it was physical as he has a scar on his head.
As a result of his abuse he is very nervous around strangers, especially men, and shows his anxiety by barking loudly and, if feeling very threatened, lunging at people.
We have been working hard to help him accept his traumas and learn to trust again.
He has made amazing progress so far.
Tobias was surrendered, along with his brothers and sisters, at five weeks old in February of 2017.
He spent three weeks at the shelter before being sent to a foster home.
At eight weeks he was officially adopted by Jessi but spent the next four weeks with his foster family.
He was top of his class at Obedience School and was often used as the example (teacher’s pet).
At twelve weeks he and Jessi met for the first time.
